- Hideki Chihara was born in 1957. He graduated from the Department of Composition in the Music Faculty of Tokyo University of the Arts and obtained Master’s degree at the same university. He won prizes at competitions including The Music Competition of Japan, Carl Maria von Weber Competition, and Guido d’Arezzo Concorso.
