YAMAMOTO, Junnosuke
山本純ノ介(1958.2.24-)
Born in 1958. From an early age, he was taught music by his grandfather Naotada and his aunt Sonoko Sugiyama. He grew up as the eldest son of Naozumi and Masami is a musician who is known as the author of such works as " Here Come the Orchestra" and conductor.
Mother Masami composed seven symphonies, and "Nemunoki no komoriuta (Lullaby)" (lyrics written by Her Majesty the Empress Emerita Michiko).
He studied harmony, counterpoint, and musical form under Kitamura Akira, chamber music and chorus under Kobayashi Hideo,In the process of composing his master's work at Tokyo University of the Fine Arts, where he studied under Teizo Matsumura, he came to the philosophy that ``music is a sublime pray,'' and began writing symphonic works such as the Fourth Symphony and Ganjin Jakujoh~ 1250th anniversary ~, chamber music, japanese musical instrument works, etc. Composing in search of contemporary music in the field of.

In 1995, as a special overseas dispatch by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, he received suggestions for composing theater pieces from prf.D. Schnebel in Berlin, Germany, and studied "Neue Msik " under Ensemble Modern ,prf.Hans Zender in Frankfurt .
He also researches and produces incidental music for films and collaborations with other artistic fields.
He won the 44th Academy Award for Excellence in Music. He is a director of The Japan Federation of Composers inc, a committee member of the Matsumura Prize, and a representative of the Otoemaki.
While creating, he teaches at a university. After working as a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Fine Arts, he became a professor at Chiba University and a professor at Doctoral Course The United Graduate School of Education Tokyo Gakugei University. Currently visiting professor at the Open University of Japan He retired from Chiba University in March 2023 and received an award for long service.
In May 2023, his own chamber music piece EPITAPH III (poetry by Giorgos Seferis) was made into a video in Vienna, and the conducting performance, which was released on YouTube, was also highly acclaimed.
