HIRAKAWA, Kae

Kae Hirakawa graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and Graduated School of Music with a major in composition. She was one of the finalists for the 20th Akutagawa Award for Music Composition. Awarded 1st place for composition at the 81st “Music Competition of Japan”, Iwatani Award（audience award）, as well as Meiji Yasuda Award. She was also awarded 29th JSCM Award for Composers, Togashi Award and Audience Award. Hirakawa is currently teaching music theory and solfege at the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo university of the Arts.
