This work consists of seven pieces，each of which is intended to evoke a visual image of emotions surging within impulsive behaviour such as desire，conflict and forbearance together with the various scenes of such behaviour. The seven pieces are written to be performed without a break as if rushing through the passage of a single narrative.
As a contribution to the chamber music repertoire in the form of a work for clarinet，saxophone (alto and soprano) and piano，I hope that these pieces will be widely performed.
