I think that the flute is an instrument that can “sing”. Of course，all other instruments also can，but for me，the flute is something special.
I composed this work at the request of the flutist Hiroki Nakayama in 2007 and it was first performed at his recital. My wish was to write a small suite filled with singing，and songs with a heart-warming essence. This work consists of three small movements，and each of them has a subtitle，like Akari (Light)，Michi (Road)，and Nozomi (Hope). In fact，there is a certain reason for the naming，but I prefer to keep it as a secret.
