A stone sunk to the bottom of the deep sea，withstanding its loneliness in the forlorn hope that one day it will be retrieved by someone from out of the darkness. This is the poetic image that underpins this piece.
What a vast expanse of time it must have endured! What utter loneliness it must be experiencing!
With my thoughts directed to this stone，I noticed that I was superimposing my own fate onto it and I felt determined to retrieve it.
My desire was to discover for myself the long-awaited future and happiness of this stone.
This idea provided the motivation for this work.
It’s my fervent wish that everyone who plays this piece will be able to convey their own distinctive happy endings.
