KANADE Suite for Piano Duet（2024）

The image that came to mind when Zen-On Music asked me to compose a new piece for piano duet was，for some reason，the planet on which we live. Somewhere or other on this richly endowed planet of ours someone is always playing music. Although the music may differ in form and character from one land to another，music has a universal quality that means it can be enjoyed by everyone living beneath the same sun and stars. I composed KANADE with this image in mind，in the shape of a work for piano duet with a variety of forms and features with a cosmopolitan character evoked by the different pieces.
