Description
This work for guitar duo consists of two contrasting pieces. I composed it with the idea of creating a song-like work for the guitar that would evoke the image of wind singing and dancing. It is a technically challenging piece featuring the intermingling tone colours of the two guitars and opposition between them.

I. Song
The first piece is set in E major and evokes the image of soft rays of light and rich greenery. A sense of floating is generated by delaying the timing with which the melody appears at the start of the beat. The parts gradually intertwine with the two guitars intersecting each other, giving the impression of gusts of wind coming together in combination. The metre changes towards the end of the piece, offering a presentiment of a new world as the piece fades away.

II. Dance
The second piece is set in E minor and begins with a poignant chorale. Energy slowly becomes concentrated in a single chord which begins to undulate little by little. A sense of excitement is built up between the two players passing through a variety of contrasts characterised by feelings of sorrow, emptiness and sensuality. In the central section the two guitars gradually come together in harmony after being set up each in a solo capacity in opposition to one another. At the climax of the piece a stark rhythmic contrast emerges through the use of distinctive rhythms employing syncopation and triplets. Pitches also clash between the two instruments as the work proceeds explosively towards a coda.
