OPALESQUE SONATA， for Piano（1998）

Kristi Becker is a German-based woman pianist， who has been active internationally. This piece was written for her birthday party held on October 22， 1998， and dedicated to her. As opal， the birthstone of October， radiates colorful lights， one’s life is full of various colors. When I wrote this in the beautiful sunlight of early autumn， I had the image of life like that. The theme is ‘various lights’， according to which diverse ideas are woven to a tapestry like life. I wanted every components of this piece to be colorful.
