This piece was written for a concert featuring Arirang-related music in Tokyo， which was planned and produced by a group led by a composer， Hikaru Hayashi. As the title shows， Arirang Fantasy is a fantasy freely constructed， based on the famous melody “Arirang”. I can’t remember when I first heard this nostalgic Oriental melody， but without doubt， it was when I was under ten， living in Osaka. This tune is a fine one even young children can appreciate.
