This piece was written for recording of the CD (CAMERATA CMCD-28083), and dedicated to Noriko Ikariyama. There was an image of a rose when I began to write this piece. I feel roses have physical and spiritual mystery that leads to feminine fundamentals. Their shape is associated with coral forests that produce living things in the sea of sensuality, and their scents make us imagine the breath of the wave when it touches the coral forest. I wrote this piece, intending to express the eroticism of touch that the tones and texture of the piano have. I felt the irresistible temptation of Thanatos in that eroticism when I was seeking for the ideal tones on the piano in a deep and quiet night.
