DANCE FOR EIGHT HANDS，for Two Pianos for Eight Hands（1987）

Composed in 1987. This work is a small dance music for two pianos eight hands (four players). The rhythmic construction is modeled on a Tala of the Southern Indian ancient music，however，the scale has a character of the Southeast Asian mode，and therefore，the music is giving rise to a small garnelan ensernblelike，because of its combinative functions of a delicate movement of the ornaments which are often protruded from a line of unison giving a certain heterophonic effect and a colour of the scale.
