2 Mélodies d’après Gabriele D’Annunzio pour contreténor (ou alto) et piano（2020）

Two M?lodies d’apr?s Gabriele D’Annunzio are arrangements of the first and third movements of VISIONS- d’apr?s Gabriele D’Annunzio- for countertenor and orchestral accompaniment; the orchestra part is arranged for the piano. Since the original second movement which is assumed to be sung by countertenor is omitted，Two M?lodies can be sung by female’s alto.
To arrange the accompaniment for orchestra to for the piano，I intended to make it pianistic. As a result，motifs of the accompaniment became more entwined with vocal melodies than the original work. Syllabic phrase of L’alba sep?ra dalla luce l’ombra and melismatic phrase of Il vento scrive form a pair. Visionary texts are musically colored by the motifs which depict nature and human mind such as wind，rain，and a boundary of light and dark.
