CARBONIC ACID –COMPOSITION BY 3D MODELING XII，for Ondes Martenot and Trombone（2022）

This is the fourteenth work in a series of pieces created by means of 3D modelling that I’ve been working on since 2018.
Before starting on this series I composed Le Banquet des Mol?cules for orchestra in response to a commission from the Suntory Foundation for Arts. This work included a part for ondes martenot performed on that occasion by Motoko Oya. The ideas incubated in this orchestral work are linked to the subsequent set of pieces based on 3D modelling. The present work has emerged out of this context and has given me the chance to fulfil my desire to make use of this instrument. The underlying concept focuses on the tone of the ondes martenot，which I have attempted here to combine compatibly with the trombone of K?sei Murata，a performer whom I have held in high regard for many years.
