BIVALENCE VI，for Two Double Basses（2008）

Double bass is a intsrument of supporting and listening others. I imagined a sound world where two double basses are not opposed or rivial，but strictly coexist each other. This piece was composed on commission of the 15th annual concert of "Groupe des Quatre et ses ami(e)" organized by Zen-On Music，and was first performed by Shu Yoshida (dbⅠ) and Shinji Nishiyama (dbⅡ) on 5 December 2008 at Tsuda Hall，Tokyo.
