YAMADA, Ryuga

Ryuga Yamada was born in Ikeda City in Osaka Prefecture. He entered the Department of Composition at Osaka College of Music after leaving Osaka Prefectural Teshima Senior High School and studied under Chang Su Koh. He is currently active as a freelance composer and as member of the Kansai Modern Music Association. His work was featured in the Osaka College of Music’s graduation concert.
His student work Prayer for Soprano Solo and Orchestra was awarded the New Classic Project Prize and was premiered at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall by the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra and the Aichi Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Kazuki Yamada.
