The Symphony No.4 consists of four movements, fast-slow-slow-fast each of which is different in style of music, but is based on the same theme and musical materials.
The first movement develops through two motives which originally derive from a main theme. This is typical of Mizuno’s orchestral sound, grand and festive.
The second movement focuses on groups of soloists and string section, with subtle change of harmony and intervals.
The third movement is in A-B-A form. Tonality is emphasized in two motives in the central section, which contrasts with the main part.
The forth movement is driven by vivid rhythm of hip-hop and disco music, and recapitulate the first movement.
