Composer

Mononobe Ichiro
Ichiro Mononobe studied in the Department of Composition at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and is now professor emeritus of Osaka Kyoiku University. He has worked as a composer and arranger at Kansai Television Company and is also active as a conductor and performer. His wide-ranging compositional output includes works for Western and Japanese traditional instruments, songs and choral works. He has served as musical advisor to the Osaka Junior Band, chairman and adjudicator for the adjudicatory panel of the NPO International Music Association and the former Kurabō Choir and Ensemble, and advisor to the Nara branch of the Piano Teachers’ National Association of Japan (PTNA).
